Patchogue is a village in Suffolk County, New York, on the south shore of Long Island. It is located within the Town of Brookhaven, with a population of about 11,798 as of the 2010 census. Patchogue is known for its diverse population, vibrant downtown, and strong sense of community.
The village lies on the Great South Bay, and is home to several marinas, beaches, and parks, as well as a bustling business district. The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is located in the village, and is one of the largest theater venues on Long Island.
Patchogue is served by the Patchogue-Medford School District, which includes five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. The village also has two libraries, a variety of religious institutions, and a number of civic organizations.

Patchogue is easily accessible by the Long Island Rail Road and the Patchogue Ferry, which provides service to Fire Island. It is also connected to the Long Island Expressway, Sunrise Highway, and the Southern State Parkway.
