The patriotic celebration is full of cool, indoor family fun featuring a bull-riding; mutton busting for children; renowned dog show “The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show” featured on America’s Got Talent; performances by Disney characters from feature film Encanto; lively games such as the Cha Cha Slide, chicken dance and more; old-fashioned cake walks, and fabulous food. At sundown, large doors open and guests proceed outdoors to enjoy one of Arizona’s largest fireworks shows.

Description: Kick off your Independence Day celebrations early at the annual Stars & Stripes event on Sunday, July 3, 4-10 p.m., at Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton. This free celebration is presented by Ward Electric. Food and beer vendors will begin serving at 4 p.m. Live entertainment begins at 6 p.m. featuring The Junebugs with special guest Caitlyn Ochsner. The night will end with musical fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Description: Held on the Aurora Municipal Center’s Great Lawn. Starts at 6 p.m. Food trucks, musical performances and fun activities. Fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m. from Bicentennial Park (at Alameda & Potomac) and last about 30 minutes. Those wishing to view the fireworks outside of the Aurora Municipal Center’s Great Lawn can tune-in to Hit’s 95.7 to listen live to the fireworks show’s soundtrack.
